The special climate chamber for large and heavy components has a large loading bay 3.4 x 4.5 m (W x H) in size, thus enabling glass façade elements, vehicle and aircraft parts or other technical systems to be easily placed in the test area using a forklift or a 10 t crane. Two powerful air-conditioning units allow the chamber to be operated with both a differential climate and rapidly changing climatic conditions. The air conditioning units can provide climates between -30 and 80°C and relative humidities between 20 and 90 %.
Measured variables | Fogging, day/night simulation with radiation, solar simulation, stationary and transient heat transport processes and moisture penetration, exposure to changing climate conditions, thermal bridges, condensation, usability tests |
Test objects | Large-sized glass façades or opaque elements from the building envelope, technical systems and machines of all kinds, vehicle bodies, aircraft elements, control cabinets |
