Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBPCooperations with industrial partners help to launch new and environmentally-compatible building materials, components and building systems onto the market. Fraunhofer IBP's contractual partners are companies from the construction industry and mechanical & plant engineering, as well as public and private building research institutions and architects.
Fraunhofer IBP also has cooperations with various universities: the University of Stuttgart, Technical University of Munich, Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences and Munich University of Applied Sciences. These cooperations cover the basic research needs of Fraunhofer IBP and are facilitated by the dual functions of the institute’s directors.
In addition, the Fraunhofer IBP and the Gips-Schüle Foundation have been cooperating for 30 years to provide targeted building research support, thus giving small and medium-sized companies access to the latest research results and innovative technologies.
