With our services, we ensure that regulatory requirements are met efficiently, for example in the context of the EU Taxonomy, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) or Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) as well as industry and customer-specific requirements for life cycle assessment reports (e.g. Environmental Product Declarations EPD, Product Carbon Footprints PCF, Product Environmental Footprints PEF).

Our research expertise at Fraunhofer IBP

The Department of Life Cycle Engineering at Fraunhofer IBP has over 35 years of experience in applied research. It is a pioneer in the field of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and is known worldwide for its methods, software and data solutions.

The Institute's various specialist departments offer a comprehensive portfolio as well as expertise when it comes to effectively reducing greenhouse gases and other environmental impacts, for example with regard to Energy efficiency, Sustainable materials or Innovative recycling technologies. Through the S-TEC Center for Climate Neutral Production and Life Cycle Engineering, there is also close cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA as well as the option to easily integrate other institutes and specialist departments at the Fraunhofer Campus Stuttgart into joint R&D projects.
