Sustainable concepts and strategies

The Life Cycle Engineering Department specializes in the development of strategies and methods in the field of Life Cycle Engineering. This extends both to individually oriented sustainability concepts for companies and to methodical ongoing development in the fields of Life Cycle Assessment, life cycle costing, and the Life Cycle Assessment-based evaluation of social aspects. Scientifically based approaches are not only devised here; they are also implemented in the form of appropriate software tools for simplifying working processes and integrating ecological and economic analyses into existing work sequences. The experience gained in the implementation of Life Cycle Assessment software and eco DESIGN tools also finds application in other areas. Particularly in terms of resource consumption and the depiction of resource dependencies, here strategies and methods are developed that support companies and public authorities in product developments and strategic decision making.
