Development of a novel acoustic calculation method for measuring and auralizing acoustic parameters in rooms
The acoustic characteristics of rooms play a crucial role in many everyday situations. They affect the overall perception of places or situations and often have a direct influence on the well-being of individuals or groups of people. At present, acoustic simulation methods for determining the acoustic parameters of interiors are technically very time-consuming, since the as-is state of the room geometry generally has to be transferred manually by the users. Consequently, the existing complex arrangement of objects in the room is often reflected inadequately or in a highly simplified form, with the result that the quality of the room acoustic output data obtained is poor.
